Jalaene Choquette

Jalaene is a parent of STC graduates and has served Hastings Catholic Schools in a number of volunteer capacities over the years including as a member of the Unity Board. Fall of 2021 Jalaene joined the HCS team in a new capacity, as the English 12 teacher.

She has been in education for over 45 years. She taught Family & Consumer Science in the Plattsmouth Community Schools for two years, and has been on staff at Hastings Senior High for the past 43 years. At Hastings Senior High, she taught FCS, English including all levels 9-12 for the majority of my career, and served as a guidance counselor for the past 9 years. Jalaene earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Science Education from UNL in 1976. In 1989, she completed a Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in English Education at Hastings College.
